Updating & upgrading Form2Content
* NOTE: Do not uninstall Form2Content. This will remove the F2C files and database tables. Of course the Joomla articles created by F2C will be left!
Updating F2C in Joomla 2.5 and 3.x
Upgrades for J2.5 onwards only require the installation package to be downloaded again and run as usual through the Joomla extension installer. There is no separate upgrade package or process. Please ALWAYS BACKUP before running any update.
We are working on the ONE-CLICK upgrade via the Joomla extension manager for both F2C Lite and Pro (later will require a download ID)
Upgrade Form2Content LITE to PRO?
It's perfectly possible to upgrade from Form2Content LITE to Form2Content PRO and without loss of data! You will need to set the extra settings for the fields and content types but previous articles are saved.
Migrating from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5/3.x
J1.5 to J2.5 is NOT an upgrade but a MIGRATION
The old F2C Pro Joomla 1.5 domain license is not valid for Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3 (never was because of the huge amount of work building teh new F2C versions). If you want to migrate from J1.5 to J2.5/3 you will require an active F2C Pro subscription.
It is possible to migrate F2C data from J1.5 to J2.5 using our migration tool. Please follow these instructions.
